MDHC 2nd vs Lichfield 5th

With the first team match conceded by Stone and a 5-0 win being recorded without any minutes played, and the ladies having another tough home fixture against WATS, losing 5 -1, it was left to the Buccaneers to try and gain some points this weekend.

They were away to Lichfield 5ths with one of the youngest sides they have put out. 8 minutes into the match, James Parsons received the ball in the D who passed it back to Elliot Weaver playing his first game of the season who slammed it home with great confidence - 1-0. After 16 minutes the Buccaneers were awarded a penalty corner which James Parsons injected, and Dan Venables drove the ball home. Lichfield replied before half time through a penalty corner with Matty Kenvyn playing his first game in goal, keeping the away side in the lead.

In the second half Lichfield got two quick scrappy goals to take the lead before Parsons set up Harry Freeman for the equaliser. Jamie Batkin, Jake and Rory Jones all linked up well down the right-hand side and two really strong teams enjoyed a good competitive match.
