MDHC 2nds vs North Staffs 6ths

Market Drayton seconds hosted North Stafford sixth team at Wrekin College. With player availability a problem, a few old faces made their debut. In the first half, the Buccaneers controlled the match with Craig Jones controlling the defence, with sons Jake and Rory maintaining a high push into the visitor’s half. John Rayson and Charlie Weaver controlled the middle, setting up many chances which just couldn’t find the net. The second half, the visitors seemed to get their act together and with four substitutes, had plenty of fresh legs, and that was the difference between the two teams with North Staffs scoring three, 10 and 20 minutes into the second half. The Buccaneers didn’t let their heads drop and were attacking right until the very end. There are plenty of positives to take from this game with a score which did not reflect the evenness of the contest.
